In Brighton’s prestigious inner circle, CBG Architects present a considered and reflective design response, an elegant interpretation of a neighbourhood rich in botanical and architectural heritage. The building’s confident form is softened by subtle curves and textural renders applied to structural bands wrapping around the façade to create generous, cantilevered balconies that are protected, private and embracing the outdoors. Bladed detail to the upper levels increases privacy with waving articulation that adds character to the design. Thoughtfully laid out over three floors and with no more than three residences per floor, the distinctive style cohesively juxtaposes open, light filled penetrations with a building exterior clear in presence, texture and solidarity.
A defined entrance to most residences heightens a feeling of anticipation and arrival, with a sublime curved wall to guide you within. A secondary wall panel wraps the form in a tactile, polished plaster finish while recessed lighting and custom wall lighting accentuates contours and texture. The design harmoniously pulls together contrasting elements. The polished stone floor and entry console meets the textural timber finishes of the floors and wall panels to contribute to a sense of liveable luxury. Open and closed wall space and display features inspire an expression of your own personality.
